CPD

Professional Development

ASLI has sourced a selection of useful workshops, lectures, training sessions, seminars, group sessions and other events as being of benefit to practicing interpreters.

All professional interpreters continue to develop in their practice, which serves to ensure that we are able to maintain our registered status with the NRCPD.  In the NRCPD CPD Handbook it states that registered interpreters are required to

…keep your professional knowledge and skills up to date …use your CPD to maintain and develop your competence and performance.

Importantly, engaging in CPD activities enhance and move us forward on our journey to providing the best service to the Deaf community and hearing community.

All CPD enquires should be sent to training@asli.org.uk

Some of the events listed on the calendar are arranged by our team of volunteer regional training reps and have been selected as being of particular relevance to members of that region.  Some of these events will be open to non-members and to members of other regions.

Other events are organised and offered nationally and member feedback will ensure that we maintain a useful and verifiable CPD menu of options for interpreters to avail themselves of ASLI members at reduced rates.

All booked events are subject to the ASLI Training Terms and Conditions
