Have you heard a colleague express doubts about their skills and ability? Want to understand more about where this belief originates from\, and the impact it can have on your self-belief\, confidence and professional practice? \nIn this workshop we will work through a series of creative exercises to explore the feelings of shame\, which is where our “I’m not good enough’’ internal script originates from. We will look at what shame is and how feelings of shame and inadequacy can impact on our relationships with deaf and hearing clients\, as well as with our colleagues. We will explore what our ‘shame triggers’ are and how we react to them. Finally we will discuss how we can build resilience to shame and become confident and assured practitioners. \nLearning outcomes \nAt the end of the session you will: \n\nBe aware of the powerful nature of shame and where it originates from.\nBe alert to shame in interpreted interaction.\nBegin to develop strategies for managing feelings of shame thatmight arise in the course of your work.\nStart to build your shame resilience.\n\nTea and coffee provided- bring your own lunch \n£35 for ASLI members £70 for non ASLI members. \nLimited places available. \n  URL:https://asli.org.uk/event/moving-away-from-im-not-good-enough-building-your-shame-resilience/ LOCATION:Bailey Court Activity Centre\, Baileys Court Activity Centre\, Baileys Ct Rd\, Bradley Stoke\, Bristol\, Bristol\, England\, BS32 8BH\, United Kingdom ORGANIZER;CN="Naomi Bearne":MAILTO:naomi_bearne@hotmail.com GEO:51.524645;-2.5392097 X-APPLE-STRUCTURED-LOCATION;VALUE=URI;X-ADDRESS=Bailey Court Activity Centre Baileys Court Activity Centre Baileys Ct Rd Bradley Stoke Bristol Bristol England BS32 8BH United Kingdom;X-APPLE-RADIUS=500;X-TITLE=Baileys Court Activity Centre\, Baileys Ct Rd\, Bradley Stoke\, Bristol:geo:-2.5392097,51.524645 END:VEVENT END:VCALENDAR
