West Midlands Presents… Dr Adam Schembri – English Linguistics for Sign Language Interpreters

We are delighted to welcome Dr Adam Schembri from the University of Birmingham to deliver our latest West Midlands Presents… session. Dr Schembri is a Reader in Linguistics in the Department of English Language and Linguistics at the University of Birmingham.  He teaches modules on sociolinguistics, language and gesture, and linguistic diversity. His research focuses on the linguistics of sign languages, especially Australian Sign Language (Auslan) and British Sign Language (BSL).
