Right? \nThe Code is a good guide but it’s not always so easy and that’s where we need our support network…people with whom we can mull over these events and consider what alternative choices we might have made. Sometimes\, we need to be challenged to think about what we could have done. It’s easy to think “Oh\, I couldn’t have done this…or that”. Really? \nThis workshop is all about YOU. Your doubts and concerns about real situations you’ve found yourself in that have left you feeling uncomfortable at best and completely chewed up at worst. \nThis will be a completely safe and SUPPORTIVE space for us to consider real events\, confidentially with our peers and colleagues. \nWhat I need you to do in advance is:- \n\nRe-read the Code Of Conduct – it is vital that we all have an understanding of what we’ve signed up to and how we can resolve issues as best we can whilst working within its confines. What do we do if we can’t? What are our responsibilities?\nSend me (in TOTAL confidence) a scenario that has occurred for you that left you feeling uneasy. Just a few lines as a brief summary and as vague as you like. I will totally anonymise everything and these will be discussed hypothetically.\n\n(to: lizmercer_bsl@hotmail.com) \nI look forward to interesting debate and discussion\, which I hope you will find constructive and helpful. Developing your support network is vital to survival and we will touch on this at the start of the workshop. \nThis will be a free event. \nPlease book yourself on.
