ASLI North East Regional event
March 9 @ 10:00 am - 4:00 pmFree
We look forward to welcoming you to the NE Regional Group face to face meeting at Tang Hall in York.
Lunch will be provided and any dietary requirements catered for.
We have Dave Whycherley presenting in the morning:
“Supervision – the art of being kind to yourself”
As interpreters we tell our stories to ourselves (and others) about the jobs that we do and inevitably tend to focus on the negatives – the stuff that goes wrong! This workshop will explore the role that supervision has in helping us to unpick some of these ideas, where they come from, and how we can be more kind to ourselves. Storytelling weaves its way through everything we do in supervision.
Dave Wycherley is an interpreter based in Leeds. He qualified in 2004 and has a wide range of experience working across most interpreting domains that we come across. In 2022 Dave passed the Diploma in Supervision with the 360 Supervision course, and now offers 1:1 and group supervision sessions.
and Laura Simpson in the afternoon:
Laura is a wellbeing and life coach based in York.
Laura will talk about letting go and the personal, private and professional self.
This is a free event for the members of the North East group only. Please register for a ticket as places are limited.
