East Midlands Regional Meeting *Online* – Multicultural London English

FreeJoin us on Zoom for an interactive session on Multicultural London English led by Selina Jaques. We will be online from 6:00pm for a social and general catch up and then from 6:30pm with Selina. All members welcome.
Selina Jacques is a trainee British Sign Language interpreter based in the West Midlands. She obtained her undergraduate BSL/English interpreting degree in 2012 from the University of Wolverhampton. She is currently undertaking the Masters degree in interpreting again from the University of Wolverhampton.
What is MLE?
MLE is Multicultural London English / Urban, it is a form of English dialect that first emerged in multicultural cities such as London, Manchester, and Birmingham. It is mainly used by younger people but as with any language, it is constantly changing and evolving.
