East Midlands – BSL/Written English Translation Workshop

* National occupational standards for interpreters in relation to providing both immediate and sight translations.
* Writing styles (persuasive/argumentative/informative etc)
* Reflecting clients via written English (formal/informal/colloquial etc)
* Theoretical models and theory to help with translations.
* Practical activities for trying translation work
* Tips for providing remote translations, maintaining accuracy and coping strategies
* Time for discussion and questions
* Cultural considerations and reflection.
