Overview

A follow up workshop for interpreters who have attended “Thinking Visually: A CA and CD Workshop”.

Say goodbye to words and immerse yourself in a visual world.

If you enjoyed gaining a basic understanding of Constructed Action (CA) & Constructed Dialogue (CD) theory and giving it a go, this is your opportunity to practice thinking visually and to become more confident in creating pictures with BSL.

Using a variety of spoken English resources this workshop will focus on practical exercises to increase your skills and confidence when interpreting into BSL using CA and CD. Within a safe, supportive and fun environment you will be encouraged to try new ways of using BSL and to discover the linguistic artist within you!

Learning Outcomes

On successful completion of the course, participants are expected to:

*           Apply their understanding of Constructed Action (CA) and Constructed Dialogue (CD) in a variety of situations

•          Have a variety of tools and techniques to consistently and naturally produce visual messages which are effortless to understand
•         Acknowledge and enhance current skills in English-BSL interpreting

Cost of training is £90 each day
