This course will look at the difficulties interpreters are faced with when working from BSL into English and explore the solutions that can be used to overcome them. The session will focus on developing your understanding of the Communication Accommodation Theory (CAT) and how by taking into consideration the theories of both audience design and audience care you can produce more accurate and reflective voiceovers for clients. The session includes a combination of theoretical input and practical activities in a safe and fun learning environment that will give you the opportunity to learn techniques for improving processing skills and coping strategies.
