GDPR for interpreters – the ins and outs
17th May 2018 @ 7:30 pm - 9:30 pm
FreeThere have been a number of recent questions raised in e-forums and discussion groups regarding the new General Data Protection Regulation – GDPR -which comes into enforcement on 25th May 2018.
The EU GDPR replaces the Data Protection Directive and was designed to harmonize data privacy laws across Europe, to protect and empower all EU citizens data privacy and to reshape the way organizations across the region approach data privacy.
As freelance interpreters it can be a confusing landscape as to where our responsibilities start or end. If you’re struggling to get to grips with the new regulation and how it affects you then why not join London Southeast for our GDPR webinar to help provide some guidance?
We are joined by Rafael Bloom from Salvatore Ltd Advisory for an evening of ‘What you need to know about GDPR – but were afraid to ask!’ You can see more via Rafael’s LinkedIn profile, or read one of his blogs here.
The event will take place online between 7:30 and 9:30pm. Questions can be submitted to the London Southeast committee by email ahead of the event (email to: southeast@asli.org.uk) and will be discussed for all those in attendance. We may also have an opportunity for live questions from the attendees if time allows.
Please take a moment to complete the RSVP for the event so that we can have an idea of numbers as well as send joining instructions for the webinar closer to the date.
If you have any specific access requirements then please do not hesitate to contact us at the London Southeast email so that we can arrange this.
We look forward to joining you online.
