Intralingual interpreting – where are we now?

25th September 2022 @ 2:00 pm - 4:00 pm

Free – £15.00

Intralingual interpreting has been around for decades, and may in fact have been one of the original forms of interpreting between Deaf and hearing people, even though maybe under a variety of different names. This year, we finally welcome the first qualified and registered intralingual interpreters in a new category of RSLI.

We have invited students, trainers and working intralingual interpreters to discuss the recent developments, successes and hurdles on the way, and tips and ideas for further development not only for the qualification, but for us as a profession and the service we deliver to our communities.

The session will be held in BSL with interpretation into spoken English. It will not be recorded.

Certificates of attendance will be sent out within 4 weeks of the event.
