Aims of the course:

• Understand how people are assessed for Personal Independence
  Payment (PIP)
• Know what to expect at a PIP face to face assessment
• Understand how interpreters can be involved in an assessment and
  what the Department for Work and Pensions (DWP) expects from
  Interpreters
• Understand what the DWP expects from face to face assessors, and
  what to do if any concerns
• Have confidence to facilitate a person to give relevant, useful and
  accurate information at a face to face assessment
• Understand the appeals process and what to expect at a Tribunal
  hearing
