3rd December 2020 @ 7:30 pm - 8:30 pm

Free – £25.00

Presenter: Russell Aldersson

This webinar is an opportunity to share the preliminary findings of Russell’s doctoral thesis project. A collaborative inquiry with other teachers of English to sign language users (and also some interpreters and CSWs), the study explores how metalinguistic terms are realised in BSL in the context of English language teaching. The study was framed as practitioner research and a cooperative enquiry.
Those booked onto the webinar will get a chance to learn about the findings and consider how they might refer to these terms when interpreting for deaf students / or teachers. Access to the data will be given as a resource to access as and when required.
