Two of our lovely members have offered to host an evening to discuss medical interpreting, this is a very brief look at the subject with a view to organising a full day of more in depth training later in the year.

This session is recommend for TSLIs and newly qualified interpreters and has been arranged after receiving requests for support in working in this domain.

The session will look at:

• Anatomy
• Medical Terminology
• Medical Departments
• Common Medical Procedures

It will be led by two experienced RSLIs with a wealth of experience, Vicki Carrabin, who additionally has experience of arranging training opportunities for interpreters and Di Phaisey who is also a former nurse/midwife.
