West Midlands Presents… Zoë McWhinney – Creative Collaboration in Poetry and Visual Vernacular (VV)

West Midlands Presents… is very proud to welcome Zoë McWhinney to deliver this fascinating webinar on creative collaboration working with BSL Poetry and Visual Vernacular (VV).

Zoë will present her experience as a touring BSL poet and VV performer, with a brief intro to both artforms. In this one-hour presentation and workshop, we will look at questions such as: if at all, how Visual Vernacular pieces might be aurally interpreted? And; in creative collaboration, how could we work together to elevate BSL poetry in its bilingual and bimodal expression.

Zoë is a freelance BSL-English poet and VV performer, consultant and workshop facilitator in these disciplines. She is an alumni (‘20) of Ecole Theatrale Universelle, an actress on stages and screens. She also works as in-vision translator.
