What’s in it for me?
4th November 2017 @ 10:00 am - 3:00 pm
£15ASLI Directors Gail Dixon and Andy Carmichael look forward to welcoming all interpreters, trainees and students to join them for their What’s in it for me? and Where do I begin? day.
Gail will provide a whistle stop tour of organisations in the interpreting sector and look at why they’re fundamental to your work as an interpreter.
Andy Carmichael will run a CPD session called ‘Where do I begin?’ – Interpretation Analysis and Constructive Critique
This workshop will introduce a range of tools for the analysis of interpretations, for the purposes of self-analysis and peer feedback. A theoretical foundation, as well as practical applications, will be provided to enable interpreters to reflect on the demands of interpreting assignments, and identify strategies for constructive learning from assignment or co-working experiences.
Curious? you should be! Why not come along to meet, eat and take a seat with ASLI directors and your regional contacts to find out what it’s all about.
This is open to both members and non-members – RSLIs, TIs and interpreting students.
Contact training@asli.org.uk for your discount code – this day is FREE for members – lunch and refreshments are included.
The Copthorne Hotel, Paradise Circus, Birmingham, United Kingdom B3 3HJ (GPS post code: B1 2DT)
