Adam Schembri webinar

In this presentation, Adam will discuss the British Sign Language Corpus Project, and a number of studies of variation and change in BSL that have been conducted in the last five years by members of the BSL Corpus team. In particular, he will discuss the results of studies on variation and change in 41 items of BSL vocabulary, on the use of mouthing and fingerspelling, and on lexical accommodation in deaf signers. The relevance of these findings to sign language interpreting practice will also be highlighted.
