London Regional Meeting
1st February 2021 @ 6:30 pm - 8:00 pm
FreeHello,
Our first 2021 regional gathering is fast approaching – Monday 1st February. 6.30-8pm
Our aim is to get off to a positive and proactive start and find out what we all want from the year ahead. The 2020 ASLI calendar was buzzing with a feast of workshops, training opportunities, coffee sessions, webinars and quizzes! What do we want more or less of this year?
Bring your ideas, suggestions, thoughts and comments to the table (or screen). Perhaps you would like to see training in a general domain, maybe you have a specific topic you feel would be pertinent, or you might even have a presenter/facilitator in mind you think would be great to bring on board to share their field of expertise. This will be the focus of our breakout sessions.
We have identified 4 breakout groups which we will repeat twice; giving you the opportunity of participating in 2 different discussions from the list below. If you want to add additional breakout groups or agenda topics, please get in touch.
Agenda Outline:
– Feedback from WhatsApp/Signal Poll
– KYIT Highlights
– Dates for your diary
– Breakout Discussions – Theme – ‘The Year Ahead’
Groups:
A – Training Suggestions
B – Reading Group – (what would this look like?)
C – Regional Meeting ideas / Breakout Discussion Themes&Topics
D – London Region Contact Team – We are recruiting!
Group D is an important one, please don’t be quick to dismiss it. Join us for an informal, no obligation friendly chat (we would supply wine and nibbles if we could) and find out more about the role e.g. time commitment and the different opportunities you can get involved in. The London region is the largest ASLI region with currently just over 200 members. Rosie and I would like to expand our merry team of 2 to.. well, we haven’t set a limit! Many of the other regions operate in teams and it works really well and would certainly enable us to deliver more to you all.
What skills can you bring or would like to develop? Here are a few examples which will hopefully spark some excitement in how you could be a part of the team!..
– Tech Wizard/Wizardess – Zoom skills for behind the scenes puppetry during meetings
– Writer Extraordinaire – regional emails, KYIT, Events content
– Website – keeping our regional info up to date and looking sleek and informative
– Hosting/Co-hosting/facilitating regional meetings and other training sessions
– Co-ordinating training events
– Arranging virtual socials and eventually face to face festivities
– Other hats you can through into the ring?
Join us with an open mind in Group D for a Q&A with us both, on anything relating to being a regional contact – it’s online, so we can’t bite 😉
