Stretches and exercises for remote working: A toolkit for the workplace and everyday life
14th June 2020 @ 2:00 pm - 4:00 pm
Free – £30.00Workshop with Jennifer Jackson.
BSL interpreters face unique physical and mental challenges as part of their work. As a result of the COVID19 pandemic, these challenges have intensified. Adding to this, are the new problems associated with working digitally. The outcome is the entire workforce has had to to adapt to a new method of delivery overnight, and the pressures are felt in the body. Aches and strains accumulate and worsen over time, impacting wellbeing.
Jennifer has created a workshop to rebalance the body in response to these pressures. We will be looking at physical toolkit which caters to all ages and abilities. The workshop will include a structured warm up/preparation, rebalancing the body between sessions, a few ideas to try whilst in a session, and a warm down for at the end of the working day. There will also be the opportunity to ask questions.
