Saturday Part 1: Thinking Visually: A Constructed Action & Constructed Dialogue
Overview:
– If a picture paints a thousand words then interpreters are artists!
– If a picture paints a thousand words then interpreters are artists!
– Conveying complex concepts in BSL can be a challenge and it can be hard to manage the unwanted influence of English when interpreting.
– Constructed Action & Constructed Dialogue teaches us how to create beautiful, clear pictures with BSL.
– This workshop explores this theory and encourages you to put this into practice in a safe and friendly learning environment.
Sunday Part 2: Visual Flair: Mastering Constructed Action & Constructed Dialogue
Overview:
– A follow up workshop for interpreters who have attended “Thinking Visually: A CA and CD Workshop”.
– A follow up workshop for interpreters who have attended “Thinking Visually: A CA and CD Workshop”.
– Say goodbye to words and immerse yourself in a visual world.
– Using a variety of spoken English resources this workshop will focus on practical exercises to increase your skills and confidence when interpreting into BSL using CA and CD.
This event is suitable for TSLI and RSLI and is open to ASLI members and non-members.
You can book for both days or saturday only or sunday only.

ASLI Member Cost: £110 per day – CPD 6 hours
ASLI member Special: £190 for 2 days – CPD 12 hours
Non-member Cost: £150 per day – CPD 6 hours
Non -Member Special £250 for 2 days – CPD 12 hours
