You must be available to attend both sessions. Registering for this event will also allow access to part 2 on 13th June.
Cost is £30 for both parts.
The session will be interactive and limited to 12 participants.
BSL in Islamic Settings is a lively, thought provoking course which aims to explain some of the central tenets of Islam, as well as teaching over 80 signs used by Deaf Muslims.
Learners will receive a booklet with all the information covered on the course, as well as a video with the vocabulary.

Trainer: Ayesha Gavin
Ayesha is a native Deaf British born Pakistani woman who was raised as a Muslim and has experienced first hand the issues faced by Deaf Muslims when accessing their religion. She created this course in order to inform interpreters and translators about Islamic vocabulary and offer an understanding of Islam in general, so they may feel more comfortable about assignments within the Muslim community.
