Website User Guides |
This is the guide that should have been attached to the launch email
Please read and follow the instructions below
Welcome to the new ASLI website!
Please read this before attempting to log in for the first time - nothing can really go wrong during the sign-up process, but you might save yourself some time by reading this guide. If you run into any issues or you see something unexpected, contact webmaster@asli.org.uk
If you had a log-in on the old ASLI website, your data has been imported into the new site.
If you get prompted to complete a 'portal registration form', you don't need to do this as your data is already in the portal. Instead, click the 'login' button at the top of the page.
From here, click on 'Forgot your password?'
Please use whatever email address ASLI previously had on file for you, so the system can match you with your record in the database
Alternatively, you can use this link to reset your password and skip the steps above
You will be sent an email link to create a new password
You can now log in to the new website! Welcome!
However...
For the first month of the new website being live, what you will see will depend on your next payment date.
When your next payment is due, the system will automatically pause your access to the website. This is because we were unable to transfer across permission to take ongoing payments from the old website.
***You must purchase a membership when prompted via the new website in order to continue your membership of ASLI***
You will know when your membership needs to be renewed, as you will see a message when you log in telling you that the website is for member access only:
For members who pay their membership fee in monthly installments:
If your next monthly payment for your ASLI membership is already due, you will be prompted to purchase your next membership imediately upon logging in to the site for the first time. You will not be able to access any of the member content on the website until you purchase a new membership. Follow the instructions on screen and fill in all forms you are prompted to fill in.
During the first month of the new website being operational, on the day your next payment was due to be taken, your access will be automatically halted. You will need to purchase a new membership at this point in order to continue seeing member content. Follow the instructions on screen and fill in all forms you are prompted to fill in.
For members who pay their membership fee in a single annual payment:
If your next annual payment for your ASLI membership is already due, you will be prompted to purchase your next membership imediately upon logging in to the site for the first time. You will not be able to access any of the member content on the website until you purchase a new membership. Follow the instructions on screen and fill in all forms you are prompted to fill in.
During the first year of the new website being operational, on the day your next payment was due to be taken, your access will be automatically halted. You will need to purchase a new membership at this point in order to continue seeing member content. Follow the instructions on screen and fill in all forms you are prompted to fill in.
Some members' payments may have been taken during the time the transfer to the old website was taking place. We have tried our best to manually reconcile any of these specific people, but if you believe you have already paid your membership for April, please contact us immediately and we can help you gain access without having to purchase another membership for April! You will need to purchase a membership in May to ensure we have permission to continue to take payments via the new website.
We sincerely apologise for any confusion that this process has caused - the data from the old website was sadly not comprehensive enough for us to make this transition fully automated.
We appreciate your co-operation and thank you for your patience and ongoing support!
