All ASLI members are automatically allocated a region based on where they live. This is a members Primary Region. ASLI has 16 regions. ASLI allocates funds to each region to enable them to hold meetings, events and training sessions. This budget is calculated based on numbers of members.
Many members work in another area, and may choose to join a Secondary Region. Members can do this themselves in their profile, or ask the office@asli.org.uk to be added to a secondary region.
Some regions are currently 'dormant', this means it has no Regional Contacts. These are volunteers who coordinate regional events and allocate the regions budget.
Regions are a great way to share local information, network in your area and find out more about current affairs.
Regions can communicate via:
-Emails from the ASLI website
-Emails via the regional email address
-Non official ASLI whatsapp groups
-Website groups
This page contains information for Regional Contacts, How to join a regional website group and other FAQ's relating to regions.
The Regions are supported by the ASLI membership officer, who is available for advice and support, membership@asli.org.uk
